Q: How long can I take Red Reishi for?
There is no limit as to how long you can take Red Reishi. The daily consumption of Red
Reishi is as much of a preventative measure for good health and well-being as it can be a
extra tool for some people with specific health concerns.
Q: Are there any side-effects?
No, Reishi is classified as a botanical which is non-toxic and can be consumed in large
quantities and for a long period without any known side effects.
However, some sensitive individuals may experience some detoxification symptoms such as dryness of the nose and mouth, mild digestive upset, dizziness, sore bones or skin rash during the initial period of intake. These symptoms are extremely rare and normally subside after a couple of days.
Q: What are the active constituents?
Reishi contains more than 200 active constituents; water-soluble polysaccharides are the most active elements found in Red Reishi. Another major constituent is a triterpene called ganoderic acid. Also found are Reishi-specific proteins and amino acids. There are also other trace components such as polyphenols, lignin, ganomycins, vitamins, lectin, nucleosides, organic Germanium, etc. All these substances contribute to the multifaceted adaptogenic qualities of Red Reishi.
Q: When is the best time to take Red Reishi?
Ideally, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. For enhanced absorption, we
